Who is the Yantra Mat suitable for?
The Yantra Mat enhances the wellbeing of most people. If you want to relax, or if you suffer from pains or insomnia you will find it especially helpful. We would not recommend using it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a heart condition. Check with your doctor if you are taking prescription medication.

Can children use the mat?
Children should be supervised by an adult when using the Yantra Mat. They will get the same health and wellbeing benefits as adult users. Please put a cotton layer on top of the mat to protect their more sensitive skin. It's a great way to help them relax at bed time and get a good night's sleep.

How many acupressure points are there on the Yantra Mat?
Each Yantra Mat has 210 flowers and each flower has 42 pressure points. That's 8,820 unique pressure points. Each point is calibrated to give equal pressure, which means the way the points are manufactured makes them consistent and equally sharp (this may not be the case with other mats). Quality is everything, and we believe the quality of the Yantra Mat means it delivers the best results and improves your wellbeing more than any other mat available.

Will the Yantra Mat produce results?

Is the Mat hygienic?
Sure. It's made from 100% cotton and the flowers are made of hygienic, non toxic ABS plastic. And it's easy to wash. Just remove the inner foam pad and hand wash it in warm detergent. Rinse it a few times and leave it to drip dry.

What will the Yantra Mat do to my skin?
While you are using the Yantra Mat, small dimples will appear on the skin, but these will usually disappear after a few hours. Your skin may appear slightly red, and this is due to your blood circulation increasing which is one of the ways using the mat improves your wellbeing.

Should I make any adjustments to how I use the mat if I have scars or acne on my back?
It's not necessary to make any adjustments, but you may want to place a cotton layer between your skin and the mat. You will still benefit from improved health and wellbeing. If you have raw or open scars or acne, you should not use the mat as the pressure points may make them worse. Apart from that use the mat as normal.

I am overweight. Can I still use the Yantra Mat?
Of course you can. You may want to put a thin layer between your skin and the mat to reduce the pressure slightly. One of the benefits of using the mat is increased metabolism which may help you manage your weight and improve your wellbeing.

Will I do myself any harm by using the Yantra Mat for more than 40 minutes?
Not at all. The dimples on your skin may be a little deeper, but they will disappear soon enough. The more you use the mat the more you will improve your wellbeing. We would not recommend lying on the mat for longer than two hours on a regular basis, but occasionally this should be fine.

What happens in the body?
The blood circulation and oxygen flow to the body's muscles and organs seem to increase. Blood pressure is reduced and it is the pain signals sent to the brain which releases the body's "feel-good" hormones. The body's endorphins and oxytocins increase and give a relaxing effect which makes the Yantra mat suitable if you have difficulty sleeping. You gain energy, alertness, lower blood pressure and increased wellbeing. Many testify to strong pain relief and better sleep at night.

Can I use the acupressure mat if I have rheumatic disease?
People with rheumatism report positive effects from using the Yantra Mat.

Can I use the acupressure mat if I have inflammation of the neck/back?
Absolutely, it can even speed up the healing process, when blood circulation really gets to work on the inflamed area.
